IRONWORKERS LOCAL 808 APPRENTICESHIP

Ironworkers Local Union 808 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee
is a four (4) year training program designed to produce skilled mechanics
in numbers which will adequately supply the industry's needs.

Please note:  Applications for the Apprenticeship will only be kept one (1) year from the date of submitting. 
You will have to resubmit every year.

Ironworkers Local Union 808 Joint Apprenticeship program is accredited by
Orange County Public School System and the State of Florida Bureau of Job Training.

The apprenticeship courses cover all phases of structural steel.
Apprentices receive on the job and class related training.

Cost: There is no cost for tuition.
Books must be purchased according to what class you are taking.
The cost varies in prices from $14.00 - $75.00.

You must furnish your own personal tools as needed.

Apprentices will be required to attend school at the union hall two (2) nights a week:
Monday and Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

There is a 1000 hour probationary period

Credit may be given for related experience with documented proof.

There will be an increase in wages of 5% every 1000 Hours

Attendance in the program will result in college credits towards trade related programs.

- You need to understand the type of work you will be required to do and be physically able to do the work.

- You will be required to pass a drug test.
